J. Bruce Gatchell Faculty
J. Bruce Gatchell is the Assistant Conductor of the Strafford Wind Symphony and is Musical Director of Broadway musical productions at Leddy Center for the Performing Arts, serving in that capacity for 34 years. A trombonist, having studied with Edward Madden, Robert Garofalo, and Paul Gay, he is a graduate of Keene State College. In 1968, he was awarded the University of New Hampshire Ford Fellowship Foundation Teaching Assistantship, serving as the Assistant Band Director. Mr. Gatchell was Adjunct Professor of low applied brass at Plymouth State College and taught 34 years of public school instrumental music education in New Hampshire.
